The French Power company plans to forge ahead with new plants in the UK.

  • French power Giant EDF still plans to build new Nuclear reactors in the UK.
  • The company’s boss Vincent de Rivaz says that lessons had to be learnt but, following years of debate, the new reactors “have to go ahead”.

  • The boss of EDF says lessons from Japan needed to be put into practise in new plants but that the circumstances in both countries were very different.
